Cheers for Charity

Congratulations

Cheers for Charity 2009 beneficiary is: Child and Family Guidance Center’s Stephen J. McManus Family Mental Health Clinic

Child and Family Guidance Center’s Stephen J. McManus Family Mental Health Clinic

Stephen J. McManus served on the Child and Family Guidance Center’s Board of Directors for 6 years. Both as a board member and then as president, Steve’s dedication and compassion was unwavering. Therefore, in memoriam to Steve, the Child and Family Guidance Center has named their newest clinic in his honor. For more than 110 years, Child and Family Guidance has provided quality, accessible mental health services to strengthen children, families, and our communities. The Stephen J. McManus Family Mental Health Clinic, opening in the summer of 2009, will be located in South Dallas. The clinic will provide severely needed children’s mental health and psychiatric services to an indigent and often-hopeless population that is historically been underserved and otherwise neglected. For more information please visit their web site at www.childrenandfamilies.org.

In an effort to support this outstanding cause, Cheers for Charity will host the first Families Helping Families Service Day on Saturday, November 7, 2009 to benefit the Stephen J. McManus Family Mental Health Clinic. Families Helping Families will be an all-day, hands on, family service event that will take place at the clinic giving our donors and their families an opportunity to participate in various projects that will both beautify and enhance the McManus Clinic, establishing a more nurturing, safe and therapeutic environment for the clinic’s clients. The gift of your precious time and or a monetary donation, will help launch the McManus Clinic and honor the memory of an extraordinary man.
